Certified as University of Yamanashi's 2nd University-Launched Venture

On March 27, 2023, MAISEND Inc. was certified by the University of Yamanashi as its 2nd university-launched venture. This marked the first time a company founded by a then-current student received this certification.

Background

At the time of founding, our representative director and CEO, Takuto Ogawa, was a first-year student in the special needs education program at the University of Yamanashi's Faculty of Education. Immersed in music and photography from an early age, he taught himself video editing in junior high school and began composing music in high school. After meeting a Yamanashi-based entrepreneur through a university course, he founded MAISEND Inc. on November 21, 2022.

The certification recognized MAISEND's business activities — cinema-camera video production with original soundtracks, drone photography and videography, live streaming, and seminars — as a University of Yamanashi-launched venture. The certification ceremony was held at the university's Kofu campus, where then-President Shinji Shimada remarked, "This is the first certification for a student venture, and I have great expectations for its future success."

Looking ahead

Building on this certification, MAISEND has expanded from its core video division into education, spatial design, and AI. From Yamanashi to the rest of Japan and overseas, we'll continue pursuing expression only we can create.
